Our Founder

Reverend Robin Elaine Eldridge is a native of Oakland, California.  She expressed a love for music, especially gospel music, at an early age.  She united with the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized at the age of five, under the guidance of the late Pastor Herbert Guice.  While at Bethel, Robin was active in the choir, Sunday School and Usher Board.

Upon her return from college, the Lord elevated Robin’s ministry, and she became Minister of Music at the Perfect Peace Baptist Church, Dr. Elijah L. Green, Jr., Pastor.  She served faithfully there for over 14 years, during which time the Peace Family Choir was blessed to expand their ministry to all parts of the United States through various contacts and tours arranged by Robin.  Robin also conducted gospel music workshops, teaching classes in Vocal Technique, Choir Decorum and Choir Directing.  She was invited on numerous occasions to conduct Praise and Worship classes during the West Coast Regional Fellowship of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, and has also taught at the California/Nevada Congress of Christian Education, where she served as Co-Minister of Music.

In 1985 the Lord blessed Robin’s obedience and commitment to do His work, and called her into the ministry.  She immediately saw the need to increase her knowledge, and enrolled in and completed 3 years of theological studies at Bay Cities Bible Institute in Oakland.  Since that time, she has been ministering in both Word and song to all who will hear.  Throughout her ministerial journey she has served as Associate Minister, Business Office Manager and Assistant Minister of Music.  In 2002 Robin relocated to Las Vegas to continue her ministerial assignment.  She returned to California in 2010, and served at Berkeley Mt. Zion, Reverend Brian D. Hunter, Pastor, as Lead Servant Leader of Pastoral Care, and Assistant Ministry Director of Worship and Arts.  She is currently a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Dr. Larry Ellis, Pastor, where she serves in the Music Ministry, and was recently appointed Women’s Ministry Leader.

Robin currently serves as Assistant Minister of Music of the Northern California Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Dr. Steven Roberts, Chapter Representative. During her time in Las Vegas, she served as Minister of Music for the Las Vegas Silver State Chapter of GMWA.  She has been honored by both the Gospel Academy Awards and the Bay Area Gospel Music Excellence Awards as “Director of the Year”.  She has also traveled extensively throughout the world, including parts of the United States, South and Eastern Africa, Spain, France, Japan, Italy and Switzerland where she has shared the Good News of Jesus Christ with thousands.

Robin launched “Where You Are Ministries”, an outside-the-walls ministry designed to help heal hurting people.  In February 2014, she published her first book entitled “The House of Pain: How to Survive Church Hurt”. Robin’s priority in life is to do the Lord’s work, and her favorite saying is “I just want to do all I can while I can.”

Where You Are Ministries is a God-inspired vision, dedicated to helping to heal hurting people by giving them a venue to share where they are in life and what their struggles are.  Our aim is to confirm them as individuals, provide encouragement and support, and offer help through resources that will enable them to continue in life on a positive note.
